Sorry I've been absent. Am working hard on my stories!

Hopefully I will have my first e-book out in December if all goes to plan. I am busy doing final edits on my first collections of short stories that will be published on Amazon and Smashwords. All have a Paris motif.

Here are some travel tips for you to use on your next trip:

Plastic is a lifesaver!

Ziploc bags are just as versatile and can even be used to keep your
clothes wrinkle-free. Use them on your next trip to...

1.      Keep your important documents together -- your passport and
boarding pass while you’re hanging around the airport, for example.

2.      Sort your currencies -- dollars in one bag, euros in another,
etc...

3.      Make a “kit” of all the things you want to bring on your trip but
don’t need until your trip home: return trip itinerary, cab fare for
the ride home, house keys, etc.

4.      Keep precious items safe. Put the item you want to protect in a
Ziploc bag and close it almost fully, leaving just enough open to fit
a straw through. Then, inflate the bag, remove the straw, and close
the Ziploc completely. Presto...self-made bubble-wrap!

5.      Store your liquids or powders to prevent mess.

6. Keep your clothes wrinkle-free. Larger bags can hold rolled
clothing -- which makes for neater packing and less wrinkled outfits
on the other side.

7.      Make a pillow. Fill a large Ziploc with cotton balls for a light
and compact travel pillow.

8.      Keep your luggage contents clean. Wrap your shoes in bags to
prevent dirt from their soles rubbing off on other items.

I'm excited to read your Arab woman story!! I've also been working hard on revising my stories. I'll be in touch with you soon....

Meanwhile, these are great traveling tips. I'm making a copy of them, probably not for traveling but for possible stories.

Keep revising!!!

Good tips! I always do number 1 and 6. Rolling clothes really saves space in luggage!

I always like to read good travel tips. I use bubble wrap between my shirts and other clothes I don’t want to get wrinkle. Then on the way back home I use the bubble wrap to go around bottles or other breakable I may have bought. I also have a list on the computer of what I need to take with a list of my clothes with the name of the place I am going to and the date. I keep that list with me in case my suitcase is lost. Also on my next trip I go back and use it again, changing the clothes I take as necessary. I keep these lists in a folder then it helps me remember when and where I went. I also send an email to my daughters with my itinerary, flight numbers, hotel reservation numbers, phone numbers, etc. This way if I can’t find my booking number I can look on my email. I also have a large piece of paper in my suitcase with my name and address – inside the suitcase. I went to Unclaimed Luggage in Alabama – a huge place where they sell what has been lost by people on planes or their suitcases – it us a very big place and they said that it is the luggage lost with no identification inside.
