Some strange bush fruits in Kakadu - sorry, don't know the name, do you?

A lovely cool bush walk south of Darwin (sorry! Darwin teeters on the edge of the Arafura Sea south everything else is south!
They're a weird bunch! Darwin streets.
So now we wait for the sunset. The beach will be packed soon. I'm going to post some glorious sunsets from Mindil Beach next post.

So with salties around can you swim at Darwin's beaches?
The salties don't usually come onto the beaches, but there are deadly stingers so you can only swim a for a short perios. A shame, as the beaches are lovely. Safer to go to waterholes, but I hasten to say my husband and I were swimming away near Katherine Gorge not knowing there were crocs. Woops. Luckily they weren't hungry that day!
The yellow flowers and the fruit are the Native Kapok tree (Cochlospermum fraserii)...
